Dr. Mark W. Wachal graduated in 1988 summa cum laude from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He practiced in a small animal practice in Grand Island, NE for 7 1/2 years prior to moving to Lincoln and establishing Wachal Pet Health Center with his wife Jane in January 1996.

Dr. Wachal grew up on a farm by Schuyler, NE and still enjoys farm work and livestock as a hobby. Additional pastimes include hunting, fishing, camping,traveling and quality time spent with family and friends. Dr. Wachal and Jane have three children and multiple pets on their acreage. He enjoys all aspects of small animal practice but has special interest in oncology, orthopedics and internal medicine.

Dr. Morgan Wachal- Meyer is excited to be back with the Wachal Pet Health Center family! She grew up learning and working alongside her father, experiencing positions from kennel staff to Veterinarian.

Dr. Morgan completed her undergraduate degree at University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Veterinary Sciences in 2014. She then went onto veterinary school through the UNL-ISU veterinary program, where she graduated magna cum laude with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2018.

After graduating Dr. Morgan worked for 3.5 years at a small animal practice in Kearney Nebraska. Through mentorship she developed a strong love for surgery and internal medicine. In 2020 she was awarded Best of Kearney Veterinarian of the Year. In 2021 Dr. Morgan returned to Wachal Pet Health Center where she continues to practice small animal medicine & surgery. In 2022 she was awarded the Young Veterinarian of the year award through the Nebraska Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Morgan and her husband Austin live in Gretna with their Bernese Mountain Dog, Indie. In her free time she enjoys being outside, traveling, hiking & staying active, reading, and getting brunch with family & friends. Dr. Morgan’s favorite parts of veterinary medicine include surgery, dentistry, large dogs, and making connections with clients & their families!
